We are seeking an experienced Director, Product Management to work with product management, business systems analysts and development to define the next generation of tax integration tools across multiple packaged financial systems within the enterprise and mid-tier markets. Our integration tools are a key component of our product line and growth strategy.
You will lead a team of highly skilled systems business analysts while being responsible for our overall integration strategy, roadmap and positioning of Sabrix's integration product line for both enterprise and mid-market offerings to ensure a differentiated product offering. You will provide leadership and financial systems integration expertise to design and implement integration products and supporting common business processes that can be implemented with multiple financial systems, such as SAP, Oracle, and MS Dynamics ERPs.
You will also work with internal and external professional services partners and software vendor partners to develop sales messages, implementation strategies, training materials and best practices. You will work cross-functionally with director level peers across the organization to maintain and build upon Sabrix's industry leadership. The Director will work collaboratively with the Director of Product Management for the Sabrix Solution Suite to define a holistic product offering; directors and mangers of product development, quality assurance, documentation, and 3rd party partners to create our product offerings; Director of Product Marketing to drive consistent messaging and positioning as the product domain expert.
Travel: 25-30% travel will be required for inter-office and customer travel.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor team of product management / business systems analysts.
- Lead product strategy and roadmap for the Sabrix Integrations to meet or exceed company's target revenue goals and market objectives.
- Formulate and validate business, product, and functional requirements that are actionable by Engineering and effectively balance market, customer, and technology drivers.
- Cross-functionally coordinate end-to-end product definition and go-to-market activities to ensure that products meet requirements, ship on schedule, and address market needs.
- Work collaboratively with Director Product Development and QA Manager on release scope, plan, resources, and timelines.
- Provide product expertise to Director, Product Marketing to inform messaging, positioning, sales collateral & tools. Establish positioning and messaging platform for all integration product offerings, including competitive analysis and pricing. Work with marketing to generate associated collateral including PPT, datasheets, and whitepapers.
- Engage in key sales opportunities and support professional service engagement managers functioning as industry and product expert.
- Serve as an authoritative product evangelist internally, ensuring that all product stakeholders remain aligned and informed and that key product messages are communicated.
- Provide support for marketing events, seminars, conferences and press relations and other outbound activities as required.
- Act as a key point of contact with industry influencers and partners to ensure the highest levels of visibility and recognition.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with product and third party implementation partners to establish business process best practices for the implementation of integration products.
- Prepare detailed Marketing Requirements, presentations, and other materials to explain requirements internally and externally.
- Work with team to provide Functional Specification documentation with use cases, Agile Stories, and other materials required by development.
- Manage team of Business Systems Analysts covering key enterprise integrations.
- Manage bug triage and enhancement processes collaboratively with business analysts and development to support a high level of customer satisfaction and referenceability.
- Assist with end-user documentation, process flows, specifications, and diagrams to provide direction to customers and to development services, and support teams.
- Assist in providing 2nd level support and training to Support, Professional Services staff, and integration partners
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science or Business Administration; MBA preferred.
- Proven product management experience across several major product releases, managing rolling 24 month roadmaps, and implementing frameworks such as that from Pragmatic Marketing required.
- Previous experience managing highly effective product managers and business analysts.
- Effective communications, presentation, organizational and planning skills.
- Requires broad financial processes and systems experience across quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay business functions (billing, order management, accounts receivable, purchasing, accounts payable, general ledger.). Familiarity with standard accounting and G/L functionality.
- Strong understanding of standard financial processes and ability to overlay the process understanding onto multiple financial business systems packages.
- At least 7-10 years of experience combining analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of financial systems implementations and software integrations. Relevant experience includes product management in EAI and/or professional services implementations with an EAI component. Previous experience introducing and managing SDKs a plus.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SAP required. Mid-market software integrations, SaaS, and web-services integrations a great plus. Exposure to one or more of Microsoft Dynamics products (AX, GP, and NAV), JD Edwards One World, JDE World, Solomon, Epicor, ACCPAC, MAS500 or other widely-used financials/ERP systems serving the mid-market is a plus.
- Highly self motivated and directed. Demonstrated ability to directly lead a team and to influence others in a matrix organization.
Work experience highly desired:
- Inbound (Product Management) experience writing product requirements, interfacing with engineering and coordinating product launch. Must have experience in bringing releases to market and managing product trade-offs to maximize achievement of corporate strategic goals.
- Outbound (Product Marketing) experience must include a track record of excellent communication in all marketing materials (Presentation creation/messaging, presentations to field, product data sheets, sales tools, etc.).
- Experience with workflow oriented enterprise applications for business process modeling, reporting, data warehousing, and/or web portals is highly desired. Financial enterprise experience in A/P, A/R, G/L experience from SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or other best-of-breed financial software solution a plus.
- Product/project management, business process management or experience driving agile product teams through quarterly release cycles desired. A background in business centric Software-as-a-Service applications, (true multi-tenant offerings) or enterprise applications software a plus.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in interacting with management and communicating functional vision
- Customer-facing experience and skills. Demonstrated history of customer interaction at the executive level required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to broker conflicting inputs to achieve mutually satisfactory results. Equally comfortable in front of executives as well as individual contributors.
- Experience in directly managing teams, as well as leading through influence.
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills in leading strong cross-functional teams. Must have a proven success record in managing to results through a matrix team environment.
- Strong analytical and decision making skills.
- Strong understanding of web integration principles, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), middleware, or other integration experience at the enterprise level
- Ability to multi-task and work under high customer demand and changing priorities
- Proactive, high energy personality with the ability to influence and think-out-of-the-box
- Autonomous, self-starter; strong leader and proven team skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work under ambiguity with minimal supervision
- Formal education in accounting/finance is desired
- Experience recruiting and project managing third party teams a plus
- Previous work with transaction tax packages a plus
- Previous work within the Pragmatic Marketing Framework a plus
- Previous work within the Agile Software Development Methodologies a plus
