| Description | This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, including adherence to health regulations. Ensures exceptional guest service and creates an inviting bar atmosphere. Follows CSM high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS 1. Sales: Helps maximize sales and revenue by promptly greeting and serving guests. Knowledgeable about specials and promotions and actively up-sells menu items to maximize revenue potential. Follows all CSM cash handling/POS procedures. 2. Cost Control: Helps drive hotel profitability by dispensing appropriate levels of alcohol; prepares drinks to recipe and CSM standards. Responsible for proper use of all equipment and adheres to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste. 3. Guest Service: Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly, positive and timely manner. Provides the highest quality service to guests using proper serving techniques. Works as a team player in meeting guests needs. Actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary. Understands and follows CSM guest service recovery program. 4. Safety/Risk Management: Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with CSM, brand, local, state and federal regulations. Dispenses and serves food and beverages in accordance with local and state regulations. Continuously uses alcohol awareness skills, monitoring the consumption and behavior of guests. Follows all CSM procedures for guest/associate incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures. 5. Self Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to CSM attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings. |
| Requirements | Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bartender certification, TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired, or the ability to obtain certification as required. Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 1+ years of previous bartending experience preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a repetitious and fast paced environment. Physical: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift. |
