PROJECT MANAGER

One Economy Corporation is a global nonprofit organization that uses innovative approaches to deliver the power of technology and information to low-income people, giving them valuable tools for building better lives.  We help bring broadband into the homes of low-income people, employ youth to train their community members to use technology effectively, and provide socially responsible media properties (Public Purpose Media) that offer a wealth of information on education, jobs, health care and other vital life issues.  Our mission is to maximize the potential of technology to help low-income people improve their lives and enter the economic mainstream.  One Economy Corporation has 10 field offices throughout the U.S., and an international presence through One Global Economy.

Responsibilities and Oversight:
 
We seek a project manager to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes marshalling resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects. The project manager will manage the project to meet the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The ideal project manager must have excellent conflict resolution and communication skills. The ideal project manager must know how to effectively motivate each team member to his/her fullest including constructive suggestions for change.
 
Core tasks and responsibilities include:

• Lead the planning and implementation of project and Facilitate the definition and documentation of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Define project tasks and resource requirements.
• Develop full scale project plans utilizing Copper Project Management.
• Coordinate project staff.
• Manage project budget and project resource allocation.
• Set and meet project milestones and oversee the development and tracking of project plans.
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Monitor and report on project progress and quality assurance.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Project evaluations and assessment of results.
• Establish and maintain project communications with client and team.

Requirements:
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree, along with strong organizational skills and customer focus.
 
 Additional requirements include:

• Strong written, analytical and oral communications skills and presentation skills to effectively communicate in a diplomatic, friendly, yet effective manner with all levels of staff and team.  Must also have strong interpersonal skills.
• PMP certification a plus
• Proven skills in coordinating work teams and/or multiple, simultaneous projects.
• Excellent customer service and ability to demonstrate proven follow through and follow up on projects tasks.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must be proficient in project management software.

Location:
This position is located in our Portland, OR or Winston-Salem, NC office.
