THE POSITION

The Engineering, Traffic and Survey (ETS) Division of Land Use & Transportation is recruiting for the position of Inspection Supervisor!

The Position
This Inspection Supervisor is responsible for management and oversight of technicians and electricians that operate and maintain the County's traffic signals, street lighting, and intelligent transportation systems. This role requires experience with electrical codes and requirements and experience and knowledge in the construction and operation of traffic signal and street lighting systems.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be familiar with national electrical codes and requirements, Oregon DOT (ODOT) specifications and standards for traffic signal, street lighting, and intelligent transportation systems. They will have experience overseeing the work done by electricians and have extensive knowledge in the construction, operation, and troubleshooting of traffic signal, street lighting, and intelligent transportation systems. The will also have strong organization and managerial skills and be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals and groups who come from diverse backgrounds and represent members of the public, coworkers, and/or vendors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • An associate degree in Civil Engineering or related field AND two (2) years of experience in road or bridge construction, inspection, maintenance management, and/or design review which includes overseeing inspection personnel. OR
  • Four (4) years of experience in road or bridge construction, inspection, maintenance management, and/or design review which includes overseeing inspection personnel.
Additional Requirements
